iMessage API & Developer Platforms

iMessage has no official API, which is why this category exists. If you want to send and receive blue-bubble messages from code — for a CRM, a support desk, or an AI agent that talks to real people — you're choosing between hosted APIs and self-hosted bridges, and the trade-off is always the same: convenience versus control.

On the hosted side, Sendblue, Linq, and Blooio give you a REST endpoint and a webhook so you can send iMessage, SMS, and RCS without running a Mac yourself; Linq adds niceties like emoji reactions and voice notes, and Sendblue plugs straight into a CRM. iMessage API is the no-frills developer endpoint if that's all you need. Comms by Osis and Claw Messenger are built specifically to give an AI agent its own iMessage line, across Linux, Docker, and Windows. Chert is a build-and-deploy platform for shipping agents onto iMessage at scale. Photon is the open-source framework for wiring agents to iMessage, Telegram, and WhatsApp. BlueBubbles is the community self-hosted ecosystem if you'd rather run your own bridge off a Mac and own the whole stack.
